What is the difference between a weather thermostat and a room thermostat?

A weather thermostat is a device with an external temperature sensor, as opposed to a room mounted regulator. Thus, unlike a room thermostat, which measures the temperature of the interior, the weather thermostat adjusts the temperature of the water in the installation (it is the heating factor necessary to maintain the set temperature), based on the current temperature outside.

Advantages of weather thermostats

The temperature regulated in this way gives the possibility to maintain the appropriate temperature inside the premises, as the device reacts to changes in weather conditions even before they have a negative impact on room temperatures. Thanks to this, the weather regulator is able to guarantee a high thermal standard and smooth operation of the boiler, without interruptions, which translates into increased energy savings and savings in the household budget.

Weather thermostats can be additionally equipped with a number of functions that allow for individual programming. An example can be weekly programmers, which will allow you to periodically lower the temperature on selected days or at selected hours, i.e. during the night or during the travel of users.
