Who will benefit from fan coils? Before us summer time - the hottest months of the year. A time when heating season is over and we are looking for ways to effectively cool down our living space or our offices. Given the current climate situation - in the summer months temperatures in Europe are almost tropical - some of you would certainly like to air condition your interiors with a single, universal device. Air-conditioning means maintaining appropriate air temperature conditions regardless of the weather and season (which means in practice: controlling heating or cooling systems). In such a situation it is worth to consider and   install a fan coil units.

This article answers the questions:

What are fan coils units?

What are their advantages?

What types of fan coil units are there?

How to increase the effectiveness of their work?

What are fan coils units?

Fan coil units are heating and cooling devices whose task is to maintain the optimum temperature in the room. How do they work? Simply put, on the principle of heat exchange with the environment through fans. This is a practical, common solution used in public buildings. Fan coil heats, cools or heats and cools the interior. Heating and cooling medium here is water.

Fan coil units are generally used in large buildings (office buildings, auditoriums, cinema halls), but there is no objection to install them in private homes for the convenience of the householder. The condition is to have a hydraulically prepared cooling system.

Advantages of using fan coil units

- low thermal inertia allows quick adjustment of air temperature to current needs

- versatility (heating and cooling) and simple operation

- thermal comfort all year round

- space saving thanks to small dimensions

- air cleaning and filtering - its high quality thanks to ionization filters

- beneficial microclimate to the people with allergies

- eco-friendly: unlike an air conditioner, a fan coil heats and cools the air using water medium not freons - chemical compounds whose emission to the atmosphere causes damage to the ozone layer

What types of fan coil units are there?

Fan coil units: division by construction

  1. Two-pipe and four-pipe

2. Fan or induction-based operation

A two-pipe fan coil has only one heat/cool exchanger, so - depending on the needs and time of the season - it either heats or cools (requires switching from cooling to heating and from heating to cooling).

A four-pipe fan coil is a unit with two exchangers (separate for heating and for cooling), which can operate both modes simultaneously.

The commonly used fan coils - as its name suggests - use fans for their work (to force air circulation). , on the On the other hand, induction-based fan coils don’t have a fan, but uses the power of induction of external air. The air is sucked in, directed to the exchanger, heated/cooled and then blown out into the room.

Fan coil units: division according to the installation method

  1. Underfloor-installed: built up in special housing inside the floor

2. Ceiling-installed: depending on the variant, mounted horizontally or vertically

3. Cassette-installed: the most popular variant, mounted in the suspended ceiling

4. Wall-mounted: designed to be placed on the wall

To summarized, most fan coil units available on the market provide: simple installation, easy access and economical, efficient operation in commercial, service and residential spaces. However, their functionality can be multiplied.

Fan coil units can work even more efficiently

How? By using modern, automatic control. Properly selected control system can avoid overheating or overcooling of the interior.

In terms of fan coil control, SALUS Controls offers multifunctional, room controller designed to control two-pipe or four-pipe fan coil units: FC600 device.

Why FC600?

Fan coil units users can experience increased thermal comfort due to the accuracy of control offered by the FC600 controller. The device is equipped with TPI control algorithm. It controls fans and valves in very precise way in order to reach and maintain the desired temperature setpoint in the room. In a two-pipe system, V1 output controls heating and cooling, in a four-pipe system, V1 output controls heating and  V2 output controls cooling.

Our FC600 controller will successfully control trench heaters or water heaters with built-in fans. Multiple settings and configurations (FC600 operates according to time/temperature schedules) allow it to be used in large commercial buildings as well as in office, hotel or residential premises. The main benefit is improved temperature control and continuous monitoring of heating/cooling parameters - also via the Internet. In order to control FC600 from mobile devices or web browsers (Online mode) it is required to have  Internet connection and UGE600 Internet gateway available from SALUS Controls offer. Online mode provides immediate access to the latest device updates (updates are made automatically).

Owners, investors and installers of intelligent home control systems know that this purchase is an investment that improves the comfort of life. If you are considering investing money in a modern building automation, you want to know what kind of expenditure you have to take into account. And here we disclose right away that there is no single answer to this question. It all depends on the property and the needs and expectations of its users.

You will learn from the text:

- what is SALUS Controls system configurator and what is it used for?

- What does the cost of system installation depend on?

Smart Home is more than convenience

Comfort, which is offered by home automation, is not limited only to remote shut off the iron or turn on a lamp. Smart home control means:

a. optimal heating control: the ideal temperature in every room

b. home economics: lower expenses for energy consumption

c. control of appliances such as roller blinds, lighting, garden sprinklers

d. security of property: alarm sensors, SMS notifications

e. environmental protection: lower emission of pollutants

f. everyday comfort and convenience

Intelligent home today is associated with modernity, energy efficiency, safety, control of expenses. The scenarios of dependencies between devices working in the system are almost limitless. However, the question of creating a system and its price remains open. That is why SALUS Controls technical specialists have created a system configurator.

System Configurator - what is it?

SALUS Controls Configurator is a user-friendly selection tool that helps installer/user to assemble products and create a system best suited to the needs of household members. We have architecturally different houses/apartments, different types of heating systems. The rhythm of life of each of us is also different. So there is no universal system. Such which pre-programmed settings will meet the expectations of all. That's why control elements of intelligent house have to be chosen individually. "Made to measure", like clothes at the tailor's.

SALUS Controls System Configurator was created based on our experts' experience gained from talking to customers calling the Technical Support Hotline. Knowing what their most common questions are and what problems users and installers have with choosing devices and adapting them to the conditions in the building, we created a "virtual version of an advisor" - the configurator. You can use it at any time, working at your own pace, choosing different product combinations and calculating control options and costs in real time.

Using SALUS Controls configurator in the "user" option consists in answering a few basic questions about the technical conditions of the building (type of installation, floor space, number of radiators, etc.). This information is crucial for the selection of control devices. In the "installer" option, the questions are of a more technical nature, e.g. we ask about the number of manifolds (which corresponds to the number of wiring centres needed), the number of loops connected to the manifold.

After providing the answer, the configurator indicates the list and the number of products needed; the available variants from which you can choose the right one in terms of function, price, design.

Finally, the configurator proposes optional products, i.e. those that may be necessary during the installation (temperature sensor, protective head cover, 16A relay module, additional ZigBee network amplifier, etc.). In this way an outline cost calculation is created.

Smart home - how much does it cost to implement a system?

Where to start?

At the beginning you need to know whether you care about controlling heating via the Internet. On the one hand, this option requires an additional fee, but on the other hand - incomparably increases the convenience and functionality of the entire system. Then you need to specify what type of heating you want to control: radiator, floor, electric. If the control of mixed heating is involved, you need to take into account the products needed to regulate the heating system of both types (floor and radiator). Smart Home accessories are an additional cost.

Characteristics of a sample house

The building, on the basis of which we will indicatively show the operation of our configurator, is one-storey with a usable attic. Downstairs, there is an underfloor-heated living room with a kitchen and a bathroom, and in the attic there are three radiator-heated bedrooms, each with one radiator. Altogether there are five rooms. The bathroom has one window. Let's assume that the residents have decided to control their home via the Internet, using selected SALUS Smart Home accessories. What products did the configurator indicate? What will the household gain thanks to them?

Explore the possibilities: how does the configurator work?

Let's divide home control areas into three categories:

- heating control

- control of lighting and roller shutters

- Example OneTouch rules

- fault detection

Heating control

In order to control heating in such a designed house via the Internet, you need to equip yourself with temperature thermostats - e.g. modern Quantum SQ610RF with a built-in humidity sensor and Warm Floor function. Optimal control of the heating system is achieved by regulating the temperature individually in each room, so you always need as many thermostats as many rooms. A surface-heated downstairs requires a wiring centre and actuators (e.g. self-regulating actuator THB). To control three radiators in bedrooms, you need to buy three wireless thermostatic heads. And of course the "heart" of the system, without which there is no way to manage your home online - the Internet gateway UGE600.

Control of lighting and roller shutters

If you want to create functional OneTouch rules for lighting and roller shutters, to the cost of the system should be added accessories (selection of devices depending on the rules):

- Smart Relay (SR600)

- Roller Shutter (RS600)

- Smart Plug (SPE600, smart plug)

How do these products work? Smart Plug, as an extension of the electrical outlet, controls the devices plugged into it. Smart Relay allows to control a receiver with a load power up to 16A. Roller Shutter controls drives of window roller blinds and lighting (230V AC). Thanks to these small devices, you can adjust the moment of switching on or off the lights in selected rooms or make lamp operation dependent on other actions, e.g. entering a room, closing a window, starting a fan, etc. You can also use them to simulate the presence of household members when the house is empty. The final cost depends on how many roller shutters/devices in your house you want to control.

What OneTouch rules can you create?

In SALUS Smart Home application you will program dependencies - scenarios of devices' work. For example:

  1. At sunset, a lamp will turn on in the hallway, and at sunrise - it will turn off.
  2. In the morning, the roller blinds in bedrooms will open to 30%, after an hour to 60%, and after another to 100%.
  3. While the window is open, the heating in the bathroom will turn off.
  4. At 8pm, the temperature will drop from 22 ℃ to 20 ℃, but the bathroom floor will remain comfortably warm until 11pm.
  5. When you press the OneTouch rule activator mounted at the exit door, the set temperature in all rooms will drop to 18 ℃, the blinds will close in the living room and dining room, and the lights will turn off.

To implement these scenarios in our example home - in addition to the Internet gateway, application (free) and temperature thermostats - we need: a minimum of five Roller Shutters for automatic operation of roller shutters, an opening sensor for the bathroom, a button that activates the rule when leaving the house, smart plugs, the number of which depends on the number of lamps that are to turn off when leaving. So let's assume that you need two Smart Plugs and a Smart Relay.

You can think about all this in no hurry and after making a decision enter it into the fields of the configurator

Fault detection

Sensors detecting home faults are part of the SALUS Smart Home series, which means that they require a gateway and an application to work. Depending on which, where and how many sensors we want to install, the following amounts must be multiplied:

How do these devices work? A smoke sensor detects smoke. A flood sensor detects water on surfaces or contacts. An opening sensor indicates which windows/doors have been opened and allows the heating to be turned off for ventilation. The devices in the system allow you to receive SMS messages about an event.

Summary

The offer is rich, but do you have to be rich to take advantage of it? SALUS Controls company offers customers not only exclusive premium lines, but also good for start, standard variants of products that work well and at the same time will be friendly for your wallet.

Use our configurator and check, which solutions best suit your needs. Data entered into the configurator will help you find out how many and which devices you will need to control your home and will create a rough estimate of the entire project.

What is important, the amounts will be approximate - calculated based on net list prices. Remember that our distributors will certainly offer you a favorable discount.

In case of any doubts, our well-trained installers and SALUS Controls technical team will be happy to advise you.

In recent weeks SALUS Smart Home series has been enriched with another interesting products. We are talking about long-awaited by installers and users motion sensor (MS600) and elegant charging station for SQ610RF thermostat (the device also supports WQ610RF - a model with OpenTherm protocol, outside the Smart Home series).

Why the motion sensor complements the SALUS OneTouch rules, and thus increases the usability of the entire SALUS Smart Home system? How will the charging dock facilitate your daily use of selected controller models? Answers to these questions can be found below.

Motion sensor - the little thing that keeps up with you

In combination with OneTouch rules MS600 can work with other SALUS Smart Home devices such as: SR600, SPE600, RS600. In combination with our smart plug (SPE600) or relay (SR600) this detector allows you to turn the lights on or off following motion detection. On the surface, this is an obvious function of this type of device, however, when creating scenarios for home appliances, it allows for much better personalization of your building automation. And all because motion is a factor that can trigger many actions in a smart home. Even the simplest dependencies greatly increase the comfort of residents, for example, when you leave the kitchen with your hands full of snacks or dishes, you don't have to worry about turning off the lights. When the sensor does not detect movement - will turn off the light for you.

You're only limited by your ingenuity and imagination when it comes to creating OneTouch rules that fit your lifestyle, and by using our motion sensor in addition, you'll increase your comfort as well as your safety and control of your home.

What are some examples of relationships (OneTouch rules) you can build?

1) The moment the household member enters a room (e.g. kitchen, corridor) the lights switch on, and when he/she leaves the room - the lights switch off.

2) When motion/intruder is detected (e.g. in the garage) - the lights are switched on and you receive an SMS notification of the event.

3) When motion is detected, the sensor working in the system can trigger the DHW circulation pump - allowing you to use hot water.

4) Just by entering the apartment you can cause the lights to turn on, the blinds to open/close and the temperature to rise.

Charging station - convenience, design, elegance

With the CDEU you can conveniently charge the batteries of two models of our wireless temperature thermostats SQ610RF (Smart Home series) and WQ610RF (series designed for boiler control). You can do this by using the USB port.

The device is distinguished by its handy operation and designer, minimalist appearance that will easily fit into any interior. What is also useful, charging dock on a daily basis will successfully serve as a stand for your wireless temperature thermostat. So, on the one hand, it is characterized by usability, on the other hand, convenience and interesting, modern aesthetics.

Elements of SALUS Smart Home system

As a reminder, let's mention other elements of SALUS Smart Home system.

The system includes devices that enable temperature control individually in each room (zone control). This reduces overdriving and costly energy losses. These devices also allow you to control the operation of a boiler, central heating pump and DHW.

In addition to temperature regulators SALUS Smart Home system includes:

- Internet gateway UGE600

- KL08RF wiring centre to control a surface system (eg floor) + KL04RF (expansion module)

- TRV wireless thermostatic heads

- control modules

- Smart plugs (intelligent "on/off" plugs)

- sensors: open windows / doors, flooding, smoke, and now also a motion sensor

A key element of SALUS Smart Home system is Internet gateway UGE600, which provides communication between devices in ZigBee network. With one such gateway can be paired up to 100 products, such as thermostats, smart plugs, relays, sensors. A free web application (Google Play or App Store) allows you to control your system from anywhere. By creating OneTouch rules and relationships between devices you can build your own smart home base.

See what your options are.;;https://salus-controls.eu/2021/05/28/heating-control-3-steps-to-being-eco-friendly-without-leaving-home/;;Heating control: 3 steps to being eco-friendly without leaving home;;

Man's impact on nature is disastrous. The development of civilisation destroys the natural environment and contributes to the formation of dangerous diseases. Burning of rubbish, emission of dusts and toxins into the atmosphere, waste of energy - this is our everyday life. We cannot predict when an ecological disaster will hit us, but if we do nothing or do little, there will be no distant future. A series of natural disasters could affect us, our children, and almost certainly our grandchildren.

This awareness is needed in order to mobilise for change and to seek an answer to the question: what can we do in our limited range to prevent this from happening? How can we not waste energy and reduce the transmission of pollutants into the air? There are many options - apart from replacing a coal-fired boiler with a ecological one - there are many.

We can:

improve thermal insulation of the house and equip it with high-energy class devices, reduce energy consumption (with the use of pro-ecological Smart Home devices) control the heating during the heating season wisely.

Firstly: keep the heat in the house.

Even the most environmentally friendly heating technologies will not be energy-efficient if heat escapes from the building through leaking windows and doors. This will result in unnecessary energy consumption through prolonged reheating of rooms, cooled down by poor insulation.

In the case of newly constructed buildings, energy efficiency is imposed in advance by the Ministry of Infrastructure already at the design and construction stage. Similarly, in the case of modernised buildings, the priming of the ground is imposed at the design and construction stage. The latest parameters allowing for the use of single-family houses are specified in the WT 2021 regulations, which come into force from the beginning of January 2021 (see: Heating and new WT 2021 standards). Until then - i.e. for two more months - the less restrictive regulations contained in WT 2017 apply. Due to the development of technology and construction, these guidelines are updated on average every 5 years.

But what can you do on your own while using our homes? Especially the older ones, whose energy standards are roughly speaking insufficient.

What should you remember to keep the heat in your home?

Do not cover radiators (with curtains, furniture, cushions, etc.).

If possible, seal the window joinery - this is where the heat "escapes" as quickly as possible.

It is also worthwhile to seal the entrance door, cellar and attic doors and to think about sealing the walls and roof.

Finally, it is good to consider installing automatic heating control systems which will allow each room to maintain a separate temperature - appropriate to its function, e.g. lower in rarely used rooms or in the whole house when it is empty for a long time. Investing in a proven control system is also an excellent way to reduce heating bills.

Secondly: monitor energy consumption

Daily waste of energy is a plague. Meanwhile, such carelessness costs both financially and ecologically: we do not turn off the lights, we do not take chargers out of our sockets, we sleep with the night lights on. Nor do we always pay attention to what energy class of appliance we use every day. Adding up these and many other factors, we unintentionally cause a huge increase in the running costs of our homes and unjustified energy losses.

Building automation by SALUS Controls - equipped with the Smart Home series - is a solution which will help to optimise the operation of home appliances.

First of all, thanks to appropriately programmed operating scenarios, temperature thermostats, Smart Plugs or intelligent relays can control not only heating, but also lighting and ON/OFF electrical devices. For example, at a fixed time the power will be cut off from selected devices, which automatically reduces energy consumption. All you have to do is create a rule that switches everything off at midnight.

In addition, the free SALUS Smart Home application records the energy consumption of devices controlled by Smart Plugs, indicating the largest sources of energy consumption. The consumption history (clear graphs) allows for a clear calculation. No more shooting in the dark - a radiator in the hallway, a lamp in the bedroom, a computer? Which devices do not work efficiently and require a change of mode? Which are not environmentally friendly? Which devices need to be replaced with new ones? With specific data, you know what to watch out for.

Thirdly: avoid overloads.

It should come as no surprise to anyone - and it is - that the largest part of the energy consumed during the operation of a house is consumed by heating - more than 70% of the building's energy needs. That is why it is important to do this 'head on', by adapting the heat of the rooms to their function and time of day. It is worthwhile to keep the bedroom cooler than the living room, while in the living room it is good to keep the economic temperature (not comfortable or, on the contrary, too low) during prolonged absence of the household members. These seemingly minor amenities not only increase the comfort of life and promote better health, but also relieve the overloaded effects of the development of civilisation. Only such a micro-scale of our actions will bring macro results.

We should also remember that uncontrolled cycles of overheating and cooling do not favour stable functioning of the heating system and increase its failure rate.

SALUS Controls temperature thermostats reduce unnecessary activity of a heating device, maintaining an individual temperature set by the household members in rooms. They provide as much heat as needed, eliminating the uncomfortable and environmentally unfavourable overdrive effect.

Controlling the temperature at home reduces energy losses. Not only replacement of a boiler and heating fuel (see: conditions of obtaining subsidies for liquidation of a coal furnace and purchase of a pro-ecological heating device), but also wise control of CH heating is a highly ecological solution. To sum up...

Why use intelligent heating control?

First of all, by adjusting the room temperature to your current needs (e.g. 23 degrees in the bathroom, 21 degrees in the living room, 19 degrees in the bedroom), we avoid overheating less frequented rooms and paying for the heat we do not need.

Secondly, SALUS Controls room regulators operate flexibly. Their main task is to maintain a set temperature in the rooms (heating schedules). This does not mean, however, that while being out of the house, we do not have any influence on the operation of heating devices. Thanks to the SALUS Smart Home series, from the office, from the hotel - we can react in real time. The controllers work according to the schedules, but they also take into account the ad hoc decisions of the user.

Thirdly, heating control helps to reduce energy losses during the daily operation of the building, which translates into environmental protection, improvement of the quality of the air we breathe (reduction of smog), as well as reduction of household charges.

Google Home application

Intelligent houses - those of today and certainly those of the future - will be more and more frequently equipped with elements of the so-called artificial intelligence. And it's not just sci-fi robots or holograms moving through the air - it's a personalised network of home devices tailored to your lifestyle.

The assumption is that thanks to artificial intelligence your everyday life will be more comfortable, economical and safe. A key part of this technological revolution for some time now has been the world-famous Google Assistant and the Google Home application, by the help of which, using only your voice, you can control e.g. lighting, temperature regulators, smart plugs, cameras at home or garden monitoring. Through the application you can manage devices compatible with Google Home.

NOTE: Google Home Voice Service is available on millions of devices from Google and other Android manufacturers.

SALUS Controls devices work with Google Home

Our selected products work very well with the home assistant. This means that the Google interface "gets along" with them and operates them correctly. At the moment you can freely control the following devices via Google Home:

Thermostats: SQ610, SQ610RF, VS10WRF, VS10BRF, VS20WRF, VS20BRF, HTRP-RF(50), HTRS-RF(30)

Temperature sensor and also the simplest version of TS600 controller

FC600 fan coil controller

Smart Plug SPE600

Smart Relay SR600

Light and temperature with voice commands

Controlling light with voice commands has a number of advantages. In case of SALUS Smart Home system connected to Google Home you have this possibility thanks to smart plugs and relays. It is worth taking a moment to configure this software, because you have a lot of conveniences to gain. For example, when you lie in bed at night, without getting up you can turn off the lights in the whole building or turn off/on only individual lamps. Coming home late at night, you can illuminate selected rooms in a second. And if your hands are busy or dirty, you can say a word in the kitchen and the devices will comply with the command - lighting will keep up with you. Such a "small detail" noticeably increases the comfort of life.

Voice control of heating is also a great convenience. Of course, the heating system works most efficiently and economically using schedules adapted to your rhythm of life, but there are situations in which the permanent settings should be overwritten on an ad hoc basis. The use of voice commands for this purpose allows you to respond quickly without being distracted from your activities. The voice assistant will also inform you about the current temperature in a given zone and allow you to voice manage the heat in rooms you are not currently in. Importantly, the conversation simulation is intuitive and household friendly. It just happens naturally, "by the way" life is going on.

How to control SALUS Controls products via Google Home?

The Smart Home industry is constantly growing. Safety, comfort and ecology are its foundations. But what also counts is the attractive design of the products, which fits into modern interiors. To meet your expectations, SALUS Controls has designed a unique model of temperature controller - Quantum.

You will find out from the text:

Quantum in Smart Home

What do you need to perfectly adjust the temperature in your home?Thoughtful, reliable devices. So you decide on a trusted brand, and within this brand, on a class of equipment that meets your needs.

Are you looking for an economical, standard or premium version? Because you want to have a choice, you will find every option in SALUS Controls offer.

Today, however, we will talk about a top-class product, about the pride of the company - adapted to all types of heating, a multifunctional temperature controller, which is called Quantum.

Available variants of our flagship:

a. SQ610 model – flush-mounted, powered by 230V
b. SQ610RF model – surface-mounted, battery-powered

Advantages

The innovative SALUS Controls product with a built-in humidity sensor is characterized by simplicity of operation and installation, which is possible at every stage of building use. It does not matter whether you are building your dream house or renovating an old family house. Installation of the controller could no longer be faster and the menu more intuitive.

Quantum is elegant and flat (only 10 mm thick in the wired option and 11 mm in the wireless option). Its backlit screen makes it easy to program and read data. The ability to create your own work schedules helps you customize the device to suit your needs. The WARM FLOOR function allows you to maintain a pleasant floor temperature, regardless of the active heating program. For example, if you don't need to reheat the room, but only want to walk on a warm floor.

Quantum is based on ZigBee technology, which can be explained most easily as a home network (with a range of up to approx. 100 metres in the open air) through which your devices communicate with each other. For example: an opening sensor will inform the system that a window has been opened and the heating needs to be switched off, and the OneTouch button - if it gets the job - will tell smart plugs to turn on the lights in the selected rooms.

The uniqueness of Quantum is mainly due to its technological capabilities. Unlike its predecessors, it is able to control even all zones in the strip. Thanks to this it can heat a large open area, e.g. a living room combined with a kitchen and dining room.

The heating of your home jumps to the highest level also thanks to the intelligent optimisation of the controller. Among its many useful functions, this one deserves special attention because it noticeably improves your thermal comfort.

How does it work?

Reliable, because mathematically. The algorithms developed by SALUS Controls technologists calculate the moment when the heat source is switched on and off so that in a selected period of time or at a specific time the temperature you set in your rooms is maintained. Pulsed, several-minute reheating maintains the conditions you need in the rooms.

If your body's needs change temporarily, you have the option of using the temperature override mode. You can manually adjust the system settings to your mood, keeping them until the next change in the heating schedule.

In summary - why is the control convenient?

Because you can create separate schedules for each room that suit you, which automates the operation of your heating system (you don't have to remember or update it) or, by overwriting a preset schedule, you can change the operating parameters of your temperature controller on the spot.

Online? Offline? You choose.

In combination with the gateway and web application Quantum is part of SALUS Smart Home. The SQ610 model communicates wirelessly with other smart system components (plugs, relays, control strips, wireless heads) in online mode. In the offline mode (i.e. without applications and without Internet access), wireless operation of the controller is possible, under a different "management" - available in the offer of the local mode coordinator (CO10RF).

What is important, using the advantages of SALUS Controls flagship is not excluded and without cooperation with the above mentioned devices. Quantum SQ610 will work perfectly well as an independent regulator, wired to a receiver (e.g. a wired control strip or directly to a heating device such as a boiler). The controller configured in this way can also be added to the SALUS Smart Home application, providing it with wireless communication with other system elements.

For whom?

The advantages of such a modern device will be appreciated by customers who care about perfect control of heating, lighting and roller blinds in their home. But not only. Quantum is a real treat for hoteliers. In this clever device you can set PIN code and setting limits, thanks to which hotel guests will adjust the temperature in their rooms only within the limits set by the owner. So if you are renting rooms in a quiet guesthouse, don't be afraid of the customers-you-dreamers and uncontrolled increase in charges. An appropriate regulator will stop your guests from being frightened.

The flexibility and multifunctionality of Quantum is so great, because it is based on the concern for comfort and user satisfaction. When creating a new model of temperature controller, SALUS Controls experts had one basic assumption: to give you the true prey of modern building automation.
